Karen Mitnick Liptak


KAREN MITNICK LIPTAK: Brooklyn College graduate, and author of many nonfiction books for children, young adults and adults, including "Out In The Night," "Dating Dinosaurs And Other Old Things," "Native American Sign Language," "Endangered Peoples," and "Coming of Age Rituals." A former documentary filmmaker and editorial director, she’s currently a tour guide at Kitt Peak National Observatory, near Tucson, AZ, where she offers visitors scientific facts and a cosmic perspective. Her 2017 releases are "The Messenger and The Skeptic," an illustrated poem, and "Quarry Face," a YA novel. Both herald the dawning of The Cosmic Age.
