Lisa K. Richardson

Friends of the Festival

Lisa K. Richardson is a longtime educator, currently working as an assistant professor in the School of Education at the University of Alaska Southeast. Her work with immigrant and refugee students in Tucson, Arizona, as well as her work with secondary students on a Navajo reservation in New Mexico, informs both her research and teaching.

Scheduled events:
Using "The Wild Robot" in Classrooms
In this hands-on, interactive session participants will explore how close, critical reading of "The Wild Robot" can be used to build interdisciplinary text sets (K-16) that offer pathways to engaging with essential overarching questions on knowledge, identity and culture.
