Illustrator Studio: Creating Mood through Layers of Paint and Pencil
We will explore how taking time for research, experimentation and discovery can find the soul of a project, especially stories with deep and meaningful content. She used a more “indirect painting” technique to tell Finn’s Feather. Together you will practice building up your illustrations gradually using layers of paint and colored pencil so that you modify but do not completely conceal the layers beneath. You will work to create mood and atmosphere in this multimedia approach.
