Mika K. Phinney

Mika K. Phinney is an early childhood educator currently teaching in a two-way dual immersion kindergarten classroom at Holbrook Language Academy in Concord, CA. A strong background in arts and literacy has guided her classroom teaching as well as her work as a K-5 visual arts teacher, arts instructional support provider and literacy coach.

Family Art Backpacks to Encourage Family Stories
Family art backpacks go home with children to encourage families to use art materials to construct and tell their own stories. Each backpack focuses on a particular type of art engagement and includes several picture books and art materials.
