Catalina P Claussen

There's no greater feeling than getting lost in a book, an experience. Catalina likes to hike, ski, practice yoga, speak French, learn Spanish, dance, travel, scuba dive, read and do just about anything that gets her out in the world.

She is a founding English teacher at Aldo Leopold Charter School in Silver City, NM. She is a graduate of Reed College, Prescott College, and Western New Mexico University and long-time resident of the Mimbres Valley. She writes poetry, short story and YA novel. Published works include "Diamonds at Dusk" (2016) and "Diamonds at Dawn" (2018) with Progressive Rising Phoenix Press. She is looking forward to the release of "Being Home," a collection of humorous short stories for adults. Claussen is currently at work on a new young adult novel about teen friendship in the borderlands.
