Festival has mobile apps for iPhone, Android, Kindle Fire
Festival Staff / December 28, 2012
Tucson Festival of Books mobile apps are available for Android, iPhone/iPod/iPad and Kindle Fire devices.
The apps are designed to be a handy companion to guide you through the Festival.
The apps include event times and locations, presenting-author profiles and a list of exhibitors (and their book signings) as soon as that information is publicly available.
You'll also find news of last-minute schedule or author changes, a parking map, a menu of food vendors, our sponsor lineup, details about becoming a Friend of the Festival, and pages for social media interaction.
As you browse the listings of authors, events, exhibitors and accommodations, you can earmark the listings to a "My Bookfest" page for quick reference.
The apps are free. The iPhone version (also compatible with iPad and iPod Touch) is available on the
iTunes App Store. Visit the
Amazon Appstore for the Kindle Fire version. The Android version can be downloaded from the Festival web site or the
Android Marketplace.
If you have a previous version of a Festival app on your mobile device, get the latest update available.
The apps' programmers are Rob Wisner and Sean Kasun of the Arizona Daily Star.
