Festival has mobile apps for iPhone, Android, Kindle Fire
Festival Staff / December 28, 2012
Tucson Festival of Books mobile apps are available for Android, iPhone/iPod/iPad and Kindle Fire devices.
The apps are designed to be a handy companion to guide you through the Festival.
The apps include event times and locations, presenting-author profiles and a list of exhibitors (and their book signings) as soon as that information is publicly available.
You'll also find news of last-minute schedule or author changes, a parking map, a menu of food vendors, our sponsor lineup, details about becoming a Friend of the Festival, and pages for social media interaction.
As you browse the listings of authors, events, exhibitors and accommodations, you can earmark the listings to a "My Bookfest" page for quick reference.
The apps are free. The iPhone version (also compatible with iPad and iPod Touch) is available on the iTunes App Store
. Visit the Amazon Appstore
for the Kindle Fire version. The Android version can be downloaded from the Festival web site or the Android Marketplace
If you have a previous version of a Festival app on your mobile device, get the latest update available.
The apps' programmers are Rob Wisner and Sean Kasun of the Arizona Daily Star.
