Festival information

Festival Staff / October 4, 2012

The next Tucson Festival of Books will be March 9 and 10, 2013, on the University of Arizona campus. Hours haven't been set, but most Festival activities are during daylight hours.

Admission is free.

The Tucson Festival of Books is located on the University of Arizona Mall - along East University Boulevard, stretching from the Old Main area to just east of Cherry Avenue, and in a few nearby buildings. For such a large event, the location is relatively compact.

Alert: A UA basketball game in McKale Center on the Saturday afternoon of Festival weekend will require some changes in parking from our usual setup; we'll have more details when the day is near.

Free public parking is typically available in the University's surface lots and in six garages: Cherry Avenue, Highland Avenue, Main Gate, Park Avenue, Sixth Street and Tyndall Avenue. (The Second Street Parking Garage is reserved.)

Because the University will be on spring break, Festival participants and spectators won't be competing with students for parking.

Follow this link for details about disability access, accessible parking, sign language interpreters and ASL.

Free public wi-fi is available on the campus.

The Festival offers a full food court along with snack vendors.

We'll have maps when the plans for the 2013 Festival are more advanced, and you'll also find a comprehensive Festival guide in the Arizona Daily Star shortly before the Festival.

Net proceeds from the Festival - from the support of our sponsors, exhibitors, and Friends of the Festival - go to fund literacy programs in Southern Arizona.
