Rita Connelly loves writing about her hometown and food. Her two books, "Historic Restaurants of Tucson" and "Lost Restaurants of Tucson" gave her the opportunity to do both. Prior to that she wrote restaurant reviews for the Tucson Weekly for ten years and was the local rep for gayot.com. Her work has appeared in both local and national publications. She is currently working on a book for The History Press called "Arizona Chimichangas" and plans to do plenty of hands-on research. As a graduate of the University of Arizona, Rita is thrilled to be a part of the Tucson Festival of Books.
