Journalists covering immigration issues find themselves at the heart of the human drama playing out daily in the lives of new arrivals. More often than not, immigrants are on the outside looking in, hoping for a new home, struggling for acceptance, and angling for a shot at American-style success. Three journalists share their research and first-person accounts of the immigrant experience — among both the documented and the undocumented - and the challenges that impact them.
