Patricia G. Barnes


Patricia G. Barnes is a nationally-known expert on workplace bullying and discrimination. She has been quoted in articles in The New York Times, Bloomberg News, CNBS, VOX, Newsweek, etc.

She is the author of a ground-breaking book on age discrimination, "Betrayed: The Legalization of Age Discrimination in the Workplace" (2014), and a companion volume, "Overcoming Age Discrimination in the Workplace" (2016).

She wrote the best-selling legal guide on workplace bullying, "Surviving Bullies, Queen Bees and Psychopaths in the Workplace" (2012) and "Zen and the Difficult Workplace" (2013). She writes a syndicated employment law blog, When the Abuser Goes to Work (abusergoestowork.com). She is the author of two books for CQ Press on the American criminal justice and court systems that are held in libraries around the world.

Ms. Barnes is a frequent speaker and serves as a consultant to employers and workers on workplace abuse issues.
