Jerry McLaughlin is a native of New York City. Raised on Long Island, he is a US Army veteran and retired Federal Senior Executive Service manager. Jerry managed the restoration of the B-17 bomber City of Savannah at the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force in Pooler, Georgia, from the bomber's arrival in 2009 until its dedication in 2015. His first book, "D-Day+60 Years" was published in 2004. Jerry and his wife, Denise, live on Skidaway Island, near Savannah, GA.
