Spotlight: Your Healing is Killing Me


UA Jim Griffith Chair of Public Folklore Maribel Alvarez conducts a spotlight interview with playwright and performance artist Virginia Grise, whose newest performance manifesto “Your Healing is Killing Me” encompasses themes of health and healing, collective self-defense, colonialism, the borderlands and LGBTQ+ issues, among many more. Virginia will also read from her work and engage the audience in this interactive session to kick off the festival!
