Protect yourself from colds and flu, as well as Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Festival Staff / March 2, 2020

The Tucson Festival of Books looks to its host, the University of Arizona, for guidance regarding all issues of health and safety on campus. They have provided us with information about their response to the Coronavirus and other public health concerns:

Our goal is to ensure that the Tucson Festival of Books is a safe and enjoyable event.  To that end, we have taken some extra precautions.  You'll notice hand sanitizer stations set up around the event, as well as at all the booths - please take advantage of them.

Protect yourself from colds and flu, as well as Coronavirus (COVID-19) by doing the following:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when coughing or sneezing.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
