The Tucson Jewish Museum & Holocaust Center, a landmark in downtown Tucson, is a living museum where Jewish life, learning, culture and memory flourish. The Jewish Museum building preserves the first synagogue built in the Arizona Territory (established in 1910) and presents over 150 years of Jewish history in Southern Arizona. The Holocaust Center, Arizona’s only Holocaust museum, examines the Holocaust through the lives of individuals who survived Nazi persecution and later made Southern Arizona their home. It includes an exhibit space dedicated to illuminating contemporary human rights issues.
