Earl Wilson/The New York Times

David McCraw serves as the principal newsroom lawyer for The New York Times, where he has worked for 16 years. His new book "Truth in Our Times" is a first-person account of the legal battles that helped shape The Times's coverage of Donald Trump, Harvey Weinstein and the rise of political partisanship in America. He is a visiting lecturer at Harvard Law School and adjunct professor at NYU Law School. Mr. McCraw is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Cornell University, and Albany Law School.
