Tucson Festival of Books

Safety and security at the festival

The Tucson Festival of Books is a highlight of our community, bringing together authors, readers, and families for a weekend of learning and connection.

The University of Arizona Office of Public Safety, in collaboration with festival organizers and regional partners, has implemented enhanced safety measures to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience for all attendees.

Attendees will see an increased presence of security personnel throughout the festival.

In addition:

If you are attending author events, bring a clear bag to avoid entry delays while adhering to the university's Clear Bag Policy.

Allow a little extra time:  With an increase in security, screenings may take extra time depending on crowds, so plan to arrive early to avoid missing your session.

Plan ahead:  Download the university's SafeCats app.
