Nishta Mehra


Nishta Mehra's breakout collection of essays, "Brown White Black," was published by Picador in February of 2019. She was born and raised in Memphis among a tight-knit network of Indian immigrants. An English teacher with 12 years of experience, she now lives in Phoenix. Mehra holds a degree in Religious Studies from Rice University and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Arizona.
