Ripped from the Headlines: Books that Capture Current Issues

The news is full of reports of refugees, police shootings and political battles. These authors have written compelling stories that bring the complexities of these current issues to life. N.H. Senzai engages us in a story of refugees fleeing from Syria, Jewell Parker Rhodes invites us to consider historical racism through the story of a black boy shot by a police offer and the Levinsons connect past and present in writing about challenges to the Constitution.
