Looking for Diverse Children's Books?


Author/illustrator Anne Sibley O'Brien will share two projects she co-founded. I'm Your Neighbor Books is a searchable database of children's literature--picture book through YA--featuring contemporary immigrant experiences, with activities. The Diverse BookFinder is a circulating collection and searchable database of picture books featuring Indigenous people and people of color, with tools for examining representation and balancing collections. For librarians, teachers, parents, writers, illustrators, publishers and booksellers.
