Speak: Creating the Graphic Novel

When "Speak" was published in 1999, it was acclaimed as an award-winning YA novel, praised for taking on date rape and the cruelty of high school and breaking barriers of what was considered appropriate for teens. Now this modern classic has been transformed into a graphic novel. The author and illustrator will share their process of creating a graphic novel from the original book and why they decided to do so.
