NASA's OSIRIS-REx Encounters Asteroid Bennu: Mission Highlights

This near-Earth, asteroid mission hopes to reveal how the Solar System formed and identify materials important to life on Earth by collecting a sample of asteroid Bennu. Once a suitable site is selected, the spacecraft will collect a pristine sample from the surface. The precious sample will return to Earth in 2023. The first images and data confirm ground-based observations and reveal an exciting world with intriguing surprises. Join us on this fantastic voyage with Dolores Hill, Sr. Research Specialist UA Lunar & Planetary Laboratory!
