Young Author and Young Artist Contest Information!

(Mason Hashim, Grades 3 - 5)

If you are preschool through 12th grade and like to write or create art, join the Young Author / Young Artist competion for the 2026 Tucson Festival of Books! Each winner will receive a prize bag including a $100 gift certificate to the UA Campus Store. Many thanks to Altrusa International, Inc. of Tucson for making the writing contest possible. Submissions must be received by Friday, Jan 9, 2026 by 4:00 PM at the email address listed on the form.

Original artwork must be submitted for consideration in the Artist competition. We are grateful to Friends of Western Art for sponsoring this contest. Submissions must be delivered by Thursday December 18th, 2025 at 4:00 PM at Make Way for Books.

Be sure to attend the special awards ceremony at on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the opening of the festival.
