Andrea “Andy” Gonzales, a rising freshman at UNC, and Sophie Houser, a rising sophomore at Brown University, met and discovered the power of coding at the summer camp Girls Who Code in 2014. They created a simple 8-bit video game, Tampon Run, and then watched it go viral. They are proud advocates for girls in STEM, and coding in particular, and continue to combat taboos and glass ceilings working against girls everywhere. They co-wrote "Girl Code."
