Shannon and Dean Hale are the Eisner-nominated writing team behind the graphic novels "Rapunzel's Revenge" and "Calamity Jack" (illustrated by Nathan Hale) and the chapter book series Princess in Black (illustrated by LeUyen Pham). Shannon is also the author of the Newbery Honor-winning novel "Princess Academy," the New York Times best-selling Ever After High series, "Austenland" (also co-wrote its movie), and many other books for young and adult readers. Shannon and Dean's latest project is "The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl: Squirrel Meets World," a middle grade novel about the hilarious and formidable squirrel-powered Marvel superhero. They live with their four kids in Utah.
