Tres Buffalo

I am from a small Appalachian town in West Virginia. From there, I joined the Army and spend time in Europe. Eventually, I tried returning to WV, where I worked as a laborer at a sawmill stacking lumber, which convinced me to go to college. After graduating from Marshall University, I moved to Missouri and eventually headed back east to Louisville KY where I attended Sullivan University and earned a Masters of Business Administration. From there, I moved to Florida. I think Florida was always the place where I wanted to live, probably because my maternal grandparents spent winters there when I was a kid. They always brought back interesting things. After about ten years, I got an opportunity to move to Virginia, and took it. From there, I received an offer to move to Arizona, and being adventurous I took advantage of it.

As I began writing novels in Florida that is where almost all of my early work is based. Now that I am living in the southwest, more of my work is based on this area. Often the characters begin in Florida and end up in the southwest.
