When I drink my coffee in the morning my gaze is taken to the Catalina range that lies directly east of our house. It was five years ago that I moved from Portland, Oregon to the desert, making the trip with my husband, a standard poodle and a cat. Luck and maybe a bit of magic brought us here to find this house on a hill. Sixteen titles later I am astounded by the inspiration that I draw from the Sonoran desert.
My books are magical tales that take the reader into other worlds. All have a good bit of romance sprinkled liberally through-out and a couple of them include time-travel. Some are Celtic myth/fantasy, some are Norse time travel fantasy, two are about a coyote who is granted the ability to become human and falls in love with a woman named Sara. Two are young adult fantasy, and four others are paranormal murder mysteries that include ghosts.
"A Witch in Time Saves Nine" won honorable mention at the 2016 Northeast book festival. "Just Another Desert Sunset" was a runner up in the Chanticleer Book Contest. "Coyote Sunrise" was a runner up in the Los Angeles Book Fest.
When not at my computer I watch the animal and bird life, do yoga, garden, or walk the many trails behind our house, allowing the peace and silence to seep into my soul. And when a conversation between two characters begins in my head I hurry home to write it down!
