True Stories That Aren't

One of the most popular genres in modern literature is historic fiction, aka creative nonfiction, tales that use fictional characters to explore and explain real events. Philip Caputo, Kevin Canty and Ron Hansen, three very accomplished authors, will explain how they are able to paint such vivid pictures of events remembered in black and white. Assistive listening devices available.

Kevin Canty

UA graduate Kevin Canty has authored four novels, the latest being "The Underworld," a fictional account based on a true-life silver mine disaster in Idaho. Philip Caputo
