LeUyen Pham has illustrated more than 100 books for children, including the Caldecott Honor book "Bear Came Along" by Richard T. Morris and the best-selling Princess in Black series by Shannon and Dean Hale. She is the co-creator, along with Shannon Hale, of the best-selling graphic memoirs "Real Friends," "Best Friends" and "Friends Forever." Her own books include "The Bear Who Wasn't There," "Big Sister, Little Sister" and "Outside, Inside." Her new book is "Lunar New Year Love Story." A graduate of the ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, LeUyen lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two sons.

Love and Laughter: Rom-Coms
Three best-selling authors and illustrators have created new rom-coms that combine love and laughter--with a twist. Gene Luen Yang and LeUyen Pham use the graphic novel format to share the love story (and curse) of a Vietnamese teen, while Marissa Meyer shares a sweet romance in which the character is magically gifted with luck, causing many problems.

The World of YA Graphic Novels
Graphic novels enjoy a tremendous popularity with readers. Gene Luen Yang and LeUyen Pham talk about their process of creating popular graphic novels, the reasons why these books matter to readers, and their collaboration in creating "Lunar New Year Love Story." Gene's graphic novels include "American Born Chinese," The Books of Clash, and Avatar. LeUyen's graphic novels include the Real Friends series.
