Sara LaFontain

After working in a domestic violence shelter and later as a family law attorney, author Sara LaFontain has seen the worst of what couples can do to each other. She writes fiction to provide an escape from the harsh realities of the world and provide optimism that things do get better. She is a fan of flawed characters, unreliable narrators and having it all work out in the end.

Although she grew up as a midwesterner, LaFontain found her true home in Tucson, Ariz., where she lives with her husband and two daughters. When she isn't writing, she's rock-climbing, knitting, gardening and bragging about desert winters.

Her most recent novel is "If This Were a Love Story."
