Kari Wergeland attended the University of Oregon, where she earned a BA in English, received an MLS in Librarianship from the University of Washington, and an MFA in Creative Writing from Pacific University. Her work has appeared in Catamaran Literary Reader and Atlanta Review. Her chapbook, "Breast Cancer: A Poem in Five Acts" was named an Eric Hoffer Book Award finalist. Her recent novella, "Off the Wall" was listed as a finalist in that category for International Book Awards and the American Fiction Awards. She lives part time on the Oregon Coast.
