Carol Fiore's years working with teens as a humane educator inspired her to write The Skye Van Bloem Trilogy--a completed young adult climate fiction series. The first two books in the trilogy ("Countdown" and "Holding") were named to the Green Earth Book Awards Long List (2019 and 2021), which is bestowed annually to children's and young adult literature that best convey the message of environmental stewardship. Carol donates book proceeds to environmental nonprofits.
Carol is also the author of a true aviation love story, "Flight through Fire." She is a licensed pilot, a climate activist, a former zoo keeper and holds three advanced science degrees. She lives in the Sonoran Desert with her dog, Finnegan.
