
Alexander Vindman, a retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel, was the director for European Affairs on the National Security Council, the Political-Military Affairs Officer for Russia for the Joint Chiefs of Staff and was an attaché at the U.S. Embassies in Moscow and Kyiv. He earned his M.A. from Harvard and second M.A. and Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins. He leads the national security think tank, Institute for Informed American Leadership, and the non-profit Here Right Matters foundation. His most recent work is "The Folly of Realism."
