Liana De La Rosa (she/her)

Sponsored by Friend of the Festival

Liana De la Rosa is a historical romance author who writes diverse characters in the Regency and Victorian periods. Liana has an English degree from the University of Arizona, and in her past life she owned a mystery shopping company and sold pecans for a large farm. When she is not writing, Liana is listening to true crime podcasts and pretending she is a domestic goddess while she wrangles her spirited brood of children with her patient husband in Arizona. Her book is "Ana María and The Fox." Her next book is "Isabel and the Rogue" as part of the "Luna Sisters" series.

Historical Romance Done Differently
When we think of historical romance, we think of formal balls and house parties, often centered in British mansions and featuring well-heeled elites. In this session, our authors will discuss historic novels featuring members of socially excluded groups ... characters living in places and spaces well beyond the usual settings.
