Leticia Del Toro is a Chicana poet and fiction writer from Crockett, Calif. with roots in Jalisco, Mexico. Her work has appeared in Cipactli, Huizache, Zyzzyva, About Place Journal and more. "All We Are Told Not to Touch," is her first poetry chapbook from Finishing Line Press. Her fiction novella, "Café Colima," was published as the 2017 Kore Press Fiction Prize.  She has also published multiple short stories from the collection, "Leaving Sugar City." Additional awards include a Hedgebrook residency, a Rona Jaffe Award at Bread Loaf and a Storyknife residency in Alaska. Leticia has also thrived in VONA, Macondo and Círculo de Poetas. Del Toro also expresses her creative gifts through motherhood, arts activism and teaching world languages.
