Teresa H. Janssen is a career educator with a master's in linguistics whose writing has appeared in a variety of journals, including Zyzzyva, Chautauqua, Lunch Ticket, Dos Gatos Press, Catamaran, Cutthroat, Los Angeles Review; and in the anthology "Art in the Time of Unbearable Crisis." She was a finalist for Bellingham Review’s Annie Dillard Prize and won the Norman Mailer/NCTE Award in nonfiction. "The Ways of Water," inspired by her grandmother's youth in the early Southwest, is her debut novel.
