Kate Shapiro is a Miami-based writer. She received her Master of Fine Arts in fiction and holds a bachelor's from Tisch School of the Arts and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She won the International Literary Seminars & Fence Fiction Contest in 2018. Her fiction and poetry can be found in Fence, HAD, X-R-A-Y, Litro and Interim. "Kill the Rich" is her debut novel.

Jack Allison, a Writers Guild of America Award-Winning writer, has written for Jimmy Kimmel, Academy Awards, Emmy Awards and Funny Or Die, and co-hosts the podcast "Struggle Session." Kate Shapiro, who has a Master of Fine Arts in fiction, won the International Literary Seminars & Fence Fiction Contest in 2018. Jack and Kate co-authored their debut novel, "Kill the Rich.” Join them as they discuss the intricacies in developing and publishing their first novel.
