Caroline Paul is the author of eight books for kids and adults, including The New York Times bestseller "The Gutsy Girl: Escapades for Your Life of Epic Adventure." Her latest book is "Why Fly: Seeking Awe, Healing, and Our True Selves in the Sky," that explores the art, history, and psychology of aeronautics. Paul has flown Cessnas, paragliders, and powered hang gliders, but her true obsession has become gyrocopters, which she learned to fly at tiny San Manuel airport, outside of Tucson. She lives in San Francisco.
