Ellen Heck is a printmaker and author whose work explores identity, transformation, and the ways we see ourselves. She studied philosophy at Brown University and art at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her picture book, “Sunflower Seeds,” showcases her signature blend of curiosity and artistry, while inviting readers to reflect on growth, change, and connection through her thoughtful storytelling and visual craft. She also authored "A is for Bee."
