Pineross

Pineross is a Tucson-based experimental folk project led by songwriter/multi-instrumentalist/producer Kevin Larkin. With roots in Celtic, bluegrass and world music, Pineross incorporates electronically-manipulated field recordings, sound design, and performance art into their performances and recordings. Larkin spent the last decade creating theatrical productions with Denver based avant-folk band Chimney Choir, performing while suspended from trees during the Breckenridge International Festival of Art, and designing an interactive sound installation as Artist in Residence at Great Sand Dunes National Park. He has collaborated with filmmakers, puppeteers, dancers, environmentalists, songwriters, and poets.
