Rashin Kheiriyeh will demonstrate the ways in which she creates textures using oils and acrylics for the illustrations in her picture books. She was born in Khorramshahr, Iran, and studied illustration and graphic design at Alzahra University in Tehran. She has published more than 80 books in countries around the world and created illustrations for the New York Times, receiving many awards, including a Maurice Sendak Fellowship.
