Tucson Festival of Books

Support Literacy

The Tucson Festival of Books offers a community-wide celebration of literature free of charge each year. The mission of this event is to promote literacy in southern Arizona and help improve literacy rates by providing financial support to literacy partners at the highest possible level. TFOB has distributed more than $2.5 million to local literacy organizations and programs since 2009.

As a result of the 2025 festival, $150,000 in general support was distributed to:

Literacy Connects

Make Way for Books

University of Arizona Campus Store, for literacy programs

Our festival events also include book giveaways for children and young adults. The Children's Book Giveaway tent is supported by the Stocker Foundation. Pima County Public Library and Friends of the Library support the Teen Book Giveaway. And the Pi Phi sorority at the University of Arizona sponsors a booth with free books for children as well.

We are so grateful to all of our donors, sponsors and Friends of the Festival who make this community celebration of literacy and this collective donation on behalf of the Tucson community possible.

Tucson, the city that reads and writes. We love it here!
