The 2022 Tucson Festival of Books will be in person this year! The Book and Author Committee of the Tucson Festival of Books works year-round to identify authors to serve as presenting authors at the festival. We strive to identify authors from a variety of subject areas and diverse genre. Panel sessions are created at the sole discretion of the Book and Author Committee.

In addition to the presenting authors invited by our committee, we welcome nominations from authors, publishers, publicists and the general public.

Criteria for nominations include:

  • Book must be a recent publication (published between January 1, 2021 and February 15, 2022).
  • Book must be published by a well-established publishing house or one of their imprints (self-published books, titles published by independent / boutique publishing houses, e-books, textbooks and books published outside of the United States are not eligible for consideration).
  • A good fit within panels that are in the planning stages.

A nominated author, if selected to participate as a presenting author, is responsible for all travel and lodging expenses associated with attending the festival.

Nominations are now being accepted by completing the application here. Nominations will be accepted through September 1, 2021.

Authors that do not fit the stated criteria may choose to participate in the festival via the Indie Author Pavilion or as an Exhibitor. If you are not contacted by October 1, 2021 by a member of the Book and Author Committee you will be sent information via email about joining us in the Indie Author Pavilion.

If you are interested in participating as an Indie Author, please stay tuned for more information as our committee develops its plans for how that will look in 2022.
