Entertainer Application

For the first time, the 2023 Tucson Festival of Books will feature strolling entertainers mingling with the public on the University of Arizona Main Mall on Saturday, March 4 and Sunday, March 5.

A limited number of performers will be selected to enhance the festive atmosphere of the event.

Applications will be accepted until 5 pm on Friday, January 20.  Applicants should check the “strolling entertainer” option in the “Areas” drop-down menu. 

All types of family-friendly performer will be considered.  Examples could include singer/songwriters/instrumentalists (original or public domain material), jugglers, clowns, close-up magicians, etc.

Performers chosen through this process will be assigned time slots and performing areas by the Festival.  Sound amplification is not permitted. Entertainers are not paid by the Festival but are permitted to have tip jars/baskets.  Acts who are not selected through this process are not permitted to perform at the Festival.
