The Tucson Festival of Books welcomes entertainers to apply to become part of the 2020 Tucson Festival of Books. The Festival will take place on Saturday, March 14 and Sunday, March 15, 2020, on the University of Arizona campus. We are accepting applications from acts of all types that are interested in performing on one of our outdoor entertainment stages.
Entertainment applications are being accepted through 5pm, January 15, 2020.
Entertainers who perform are not compensated by the Festival; however, we will publish a schedule of entertainment on our website, in the Arizona Daily Star and via mobile and social media applications related to the event. During the scheduled performance, a group is welcome to provide promotional materials and sell CD's or other items related to the performance (all business licensing and tax collection / remittance are the responsibility of the seller). Performers are encouraged to promote their performance(s) through their own PR and social media sites.
There are many spaces available for entertainment during Festival weekend. Venue size varies from large stages, suitable for multi-piece groups, to one- or two-person street entertainment sites. The Entertainment Committee will review all applications and determine the day, time and location of performances during the Festival. The decision of the committee is final. Each group will be provided with confirmation of their status in late January, 2020. If selected, An Entertainment Agreement will be issued to groups being invited to perform. The Entertainment Agreement must be completed and returned by the deadline in order to confirm your participation in the Tucson Festival of Books.
To apply for consideration as a performer, please complete this electronic form. An asterisk (*) indicates a required field. Please fill in as much information as possible to expedite the application process. Use the additional comments block if you have any special needs or requests regarding your performance.
