As a reporter at The New York Times, he covered the CIA in Washington and wars, conflicts, and crises in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sudan and many other nations. His new book, "The Mission: The CIA in the 21st Century," was ranked NO. 3 on the New York Times bestseller list upon its publication. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife, Kate Doyle, an expert on human rights.
