Francine Mathews, who also writes under the name Stephanie Barron, is the author of 27 novels of mystery and suspense. A former intelligence analyst with the CIA, she worked briefly on the investigation into the terrorist bombing of Pan Am 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland. As Stephanie Barron she is best known for the Jane Austen Mystery Series. As Mathews, she has penned six espionage novels and the Merry Folger Nantucket mysteries. The latest, DEATH ON NANTUCKET, showcases Francine's passion for Nantucket and the New England shoreline. When she's not writing, Francine likes to ski, garden, and cook. She lives in Colorado.
