Philanthropist and author Joseph Deitch is the founder and chairman of Commonwealth Financial Network, with assets under management of over 170 billion dollars and 40 Best Place to Work awards, as well as top honors from JD Power for client satisfaction every year it has been bestowed. He is also chairman of Southworth Development, a golf and resort real estate company with award-winning properties in the US, the Bahamas and Scotland.
Joe has dedicated his professional career to the goals of quality and community, constantly trying to make a profound difference in our world. He established the Deitch Leadership Institute at the Boston Latin School, the oldest public school in the United States, as well as Commonwealth Cares and the Elevate Prize Foundation. Joe has also been a Broadway producer and won a Tony Award as co-producer of The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess.
In 2010, the editors of Investment Advisor magazine selected Joe as one of the 30 most influential leaders in and around the financial planning profession over the previous three decades.
In 2018, Joe published his book, "Elevate: An Essential Guide to Life," which has been honored with numerous awards, including a #1 Amazon Best Seller ranking, and universal praise for which he is enormously grateful.
Joe is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and an alumnus of Harvard Business School.
