Alexander Boxer is a data scientist with a Ph.D. in physics and degrees in the history of science and classics. "A Scheme of Heaven: The History of Astrology and the Search for our Destiny in Data" is his first book. His research has appeared in Nature Physics, and he was Atlas Obscura’s original Washington, D.C. field agent. He was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona.
