Mimi Yu

Mimi Yu was born and raised in rural upstate New York. She is an alumna of the Voices of Our Nation Arts Foundation (VONA) Voices program. She received a bachelor's degree in liberal arts from Sarah Lawrence College and a master's of fine arts from the New School/Parsons School of Design. Her debut young adult fantasy novel, "The Girl King," received critical acclaim. Its sequel is forthcoming in 2020. When she's not writing, she enjoys gardening, quilting, boxing and fostering kittens. Mimi currently resides in Chicagoland with her husband. She has five cats, one dog and four planets in Aquarius.
