Celeste Trimble


Celeste Trimble has been working as an educator in K-12 and higher education since 2006. She works toward increasing cultural diversity within literature for youth inside and outside the classroom. She is currently an assistant professor of literacy at St. Martin’s University in Olympia, Washington.

Our Stories, Our Lives: Indigenous Literature in the Lives of Teens
All kids have the right to see their lives reflected in books, particularly those marginalized by society. A group of Tohono O’odham teens and their teacher will share their experiences reading indigenous YA literature.
