Janice Kaplan


Janice Kaplan is well known as a journalist, TV producer, and writer. She is the author of 14 popular books, including the New York Times best-seller, “The Gratitude Diaries” and her new book “How Luck Happens: Using the Science of Luck to Transform Work, Love, and Life.” Her books and novels have been translated and published in some 20 countries.

Janice was the editor-in-chief of Parade magazine where she did cover stories with President Barack Obama and interviews with celebrities from Matt Damon to Barbra Streisand. As the executive producer of the TV Guide Television Group, she created and produced more than 30 primetime network television specials. She has written for just about every major magazine in America and has appeared frequently on TV shows including Today and Good Morning America. A graduate of Yale University, she regularly gives speeches and keynote addresses around the country.
